Best Horror Movies of All Time

It is hard to decide about what are the best horror movies of all time, because it highly depends on what we consider to be horrifying. The idea of horrifying differs from person to person. The same thing is with what we find funny or sad. But there are some movies that would probably fit into everyone’s definition of horror:

-The Ring, 2002.  The leading role was given to Naomi Watts. The atmosphere is pretty dark during the entire film, but that was the point, right?

- Halloween,1978. Now, maybe there is not much new when it comes to …well, anything in this movie. But nevertheless, it became famous. Everyone, I mean everyone has heard about this film and probably has seen it for once at least. We all know the plot….similar plot can be seen in other movies, too. But there is only one John Carpenter.

- The Exorcist,1973. Now this one is creepy. Really is…and quite saturated in filth as well. Perhaps there is no film where you could see more green vomit than in this one.

- House of Usher,1960, based on  Edgar Allan Poe’s story “The Fall of the House of Usher”, starring Vincent Price, Mark Damon  and Myrna Fahey and directed by Roger Corman.
- Mothman Prophecies, 2002. Ok, there are several real spooky scenes in this movie, but what is really spooky is the fact that it is inspired by a true story. Yeah, a true story!

- Rosemary’s Baby,1968. This is a classic written by Roman Polanski. You can recognize his exceptional style and fell the atmosphere he made in this movie with geniality. This movie deserves to be called a masterpiece for many reasons. Well, for every reason. If you haven’t seen him, you definitely should.

- Amityville Horror’,1978. Another horror movie that’s based on a true story! Can you believe it? It is more like it was inspired by a true story, to be more precise. If you have seen it, than you know what I mean.
