If we tried to make a list of the best rock songs of all time, it would be complicated and hard, because what used to be called “rock” before is now called “rock and roll” and there are songs with characteristics of both genres.

Is it all the same genre – rock – or is there a need to separate rock from rock and roll? And what about hard rock – is it ‘harder’ today than it used to be?
